With the Winter season approaching DMBC are looking for volunteer snow wardens to help clear snow in the event of severe weather.
DMBC are currently looking for expressions of interest from wards/parishes for volunteer snow wardens to clear snow and spread salt on footways and pedestrian areas (not roads). Volunteers can spend as much (or as little) time as they wish undertaking these operations.
A Snow Warden can be:
- Doncaster Councillor
- Member of Parish or Town Council
- Members of the Public
As a Snow Warden you will receive the following:
- High visibility vest
- Suitable gloves
- Snow shovel
- Rock Salt (25kg bags)
- Training
- Insurance (volunteers will be covered under the Council’s policy)
